Why do people lie?

Lying always seem to be the easy way out for many things that people hate in life. For example, argument, getting themselves out of trouble, duties and even many more. Is lying really a solution? Or is lying an effect of certain plays.

Why do people lie? Is there a need to lie? Is lying a cause or an effect? Can lying really solve problems? or does lying creates more problems? How can one judge what is a white lie and what is not? Not everything is black or white in life, so do we have a grey lie? I think a grey lie is a lie itself when your lie ain't really a good intended one but you just wanna feel better. that's a grey lie i guess.

Anyway, I think lying is a form of escape. An escape from responsibility and an escape from reality and it is an effect to me. An effect of fear and disagreement from another party.

Let's take a crack at some examples.

Truth - "I went to the bar" vs Lie - "I was at work"

: Is going to the bar all bad? No. So why did the person have to lie about being at work instead? Cause the mum/wife disapprove of him going to the bar to kill his liver or spent too much money? So if the mum/wife is totally cool about it, does he have to lie about it? No. But of course if he ain't earning enough, probably he SHOULD be at work.

Truth - "I didn't do my home work cause I forgotten about it" vs Lie "I left my book on the table"

: both sounded just as bad but I am sure you used this lie before somewhere during your school days. Why? Cause we have this idea that not bringing means forgetful and not doing means you are a bad student. So we decides to take the risk and lie about it. If the teacher take the truth as it is, does the kid need to lie?

Truth - "Yes hunny, you look fat in those jeans" Vs Lie -"Those jeans looks great. it fits perfectly"

: Fine, this is a bad example. In fact the question about "Do I look fat in this jeans" is a trick question itself. but men do not want such trouble. Men decides to lie about it but if the woman is fine with the real truth, does man need to lie?

Born Liars?

So are men liars by default or is it an effect of women's action? I did mention that it is the fear in the person that caused them to lie in certain situation, fine, men bear the responsibility that they dare not tell the truth, but will things be on their side if they did tell the truth? NO.

The Truth about the cow and the river.

No, I am not encouraging people to lie but I am encouraging people to accept facts at sometimes. Give each other the due respect that there are differences in each other and there are different options between people and their living habits. It is not always right or wrong and definitely not always you are right and he is wrong. Think about it. If you think that certain person always lie to you over every single things about his/her life, it could be you who is driving this person up that way. Although yes, i agree with the saying that "If the cow doesn't want to drink water, leading him to the river wouldn't help" but me too believe that you should take the credit for "bringing him to the river" cause "if he ain't by the river, he ain't got any water to drink to begin with", simply put it - you did give him that option, didn't you?

I FINALLY BEAT RONDY!

Most of you guys should know how much time I spent playing games. From computer/console games to the more traditional board/card games. They have always been a part of my life and I really enjoy a good game as strategizing a game and winning it makes me feel really good. I enjoy the beauty of the games and the adrenaline rush from a good competition. There times that you might lost a game but still enjoyed the process but of course there are also times you do not enjoy losing. Like for example losing to Rondy. HAHA.

This has to go a little back into the history for you guys to get what I am talking about. I started playing my favorite card game at the age of 15 during secondary school. I spent too much time and money on this game but I never regret any bit of it as I really love this game. I spent a good 2-3 years playing it actively with 3 of my buddies, Rondy, David and Willis. (Like buying new cards or joining tournament) Some of us stop shortly after we got into poly but the game is always with me. I still use some of my older decks I kept to play with my poly classmate as well as campmates during army. I wouldn't say I am very good but I am sure I was kind of slightly above average back then when I was very active but there is this person I could never beat.

That's almost like us.

And that is Rondy. Rondy is not only good with the card knowledge and the game's know how but he is also very experience and looking at him playing his cards is almost like him putting up a show. He will not just play the game but also read the opponent's move and small little habits. He is also a very good teacher when it comes to Magic and he is never stingy about teaching us what to do and how to play the game right. And it makes me really want to beat him even more in his own game.

Damn it Rondy! You Beat me AGAIN!

He will always be the one getting the better cards during draft session and always the one winning it all since school days and in fact when Willis, David and I stopped playing the game, he got more into it. He was once Singapore top player and actually represented Singapore to play this so call silly little card game to many in different part of the world.

Recently, the four of us decided to gather together once again to play this game. We will buy a box and play it at our free time and sell away the cards so we have money to buy the next box at a cheaper price. I am very happy I get to play this game once again although not as active as we use to but we still join the tournament once every 3months or so. Rondy would always teach us what to do with all the updated cards and all.

Something awesome happened tonight. I BEAT RONDY! Like for the first time in X years in draft. I finally beat him! I mean it might be no big deal cause the game consist of certain luck factor as well but it's Rondy that I just beaten. I know, there is no price or what not but I am still happy!

Anyway I am happy the four of us are gathering together more often these days and playing some serious card games. (And drinking and party of course.)

SuperStar Virgo Re-launch Event

I never had a great impression about all the cruise thanks to movies like Titanic and Poseidon. I always have this fear that something bad is going to happen and the next thing before I know it I have too say the epic "You Jump, I Jump" line and to realize that it ain't really that romantic to die during a holiday.

I mean on top of that, I also never like the idea as I thought that it ain't really fun to be trapped on a ship for whichever number of days? I guess I was wrong cause being on a cruise can be really fun especially when you have the right group of people!

I was on the SuperStar Virgo with Mint, Silver, Rachell, Alvin and William! We were lucky that it's CNY period and we get to do our lou hei ! Not just any lou hei but one which is on the sea!

And a CNY event will never be the same without a lion dance celebration right? And did the Lou Hei and Lion dance bring us any luck?

We had a test of lucky immediately on the cruise, we had some games of bimbo! I mean, BINGO!

Sad to say ladyluck weren't on our side as none of us won anything from this games. And in fact we lost pretty badly! Badly as in like we were nothing near. -.-

And there after we were brought around to enjoy a tour on the cruise. And that is when I realize that the cruise actually has a lot of facilities! We were pretty amazed by the facilities and we actually got separated from our tour guide shortly into the tour but I am pretty sure we didn't miss anything even without him.

They actually have this very nice looking theater which comes with they own showtime. Too bad there weren't any shows when we were there but this place sure reminds me of GLEE!

And they actually have a writing room and library too! So would there be where all the bloggers are just to do their writing? And guess what else I found right beside?

A MAHJONG ROOM! I suppose we will spend a lot of time in there if we are really there to stay overnight. HAHA!

And they even had some outdoor activities like golf! It was a shame I didn't get to show off my skill to the rest of the bloggers! Actually no.. I have no clue about golf. HAHA.

There were also other facilities such as a casino, a pub with live band, arcade, night club, swimming pool and many more!

And we were also brought around to look at the suite! I must say their suite looks way too awesome! It was so awesome that I stare blank and didn't take any pictures. But lucky for you guys that Rachell took some really awesome pictures of the suite.

That's Rachell, Silver and me photobombing. heh! oh wait. I was talking about the suite!

Although we did not get to sail out into the sea or try out some of the facilities, we still did enjoy ourselves talking, walking around and camwhoring. I must say that the cruise is really huge! We were all so tired after the event! And I was actually surfing their website for offers! I wanna bring the family onto the cruise too! And if you too are interested you can check out their website! For you guys who watched the most recent "How I Met Your Mother" should know what I am talking about. Like I was talking about how I love my life to be like a sitcom previously? One of the main reason was actually because of how I like the feeling of always being in a clique.I meant isn't it good to have a good group of friends who will laugh with you, laugh at you and totally no hard feelings at all? Everyone has their good qualities as well as things that really pisses us off but it's about how we fight and we still love each other after. You do not even need to look for dinner kakis, they are like just there for you.

The "perfect" friends.

The formation of cliques can come in many forms, like mention earlier the easiest way will be either your school or work place and some will be due to common interest and met at night spot or even the more geeky ones like forums/twitter or even facebook these days.

Although I look like I am a social butterfly who will flies around different social groups, I do really care about my close friends and always like the feeling of bringing friends together and hope that they will be one big group of common friends but sad to say it is very hard to achieve. For the simplest reason is that we are humans and we have difference in everyone. I am not talking about ironing out the differences but it's more like how do we compromise as well as is it worth the compromise. We have different interests, we have different daily happenings, we have different ideas, we have different experience and even different sense of humor but that is exactly what makes a group interesting! We do not see 5 barney(ies) hanging out and neither do we see 5 Joey(ies) eating together at the dinner table, no?

Not to make myself sound like an Anime character but friendship and human relationship is one thing i really treasure and as much as possible I want all my friends to move on together and have a good time every time we gather.

I use to be in so many different cliques that I can remember, from primary school to current days. What happened between all of us that drifted us apart? Did we not maintain our "close" relationship or did we just got "too busy" with life? Is it true that there are only so many friends one can keep? How many good/close friends can one keep? People grow up, people move on and people's interest changed. Is that what happened?

I suppose one person can't win it all?

I am not saying that I do not have good friends now, I still have my buddies who will meet me every now and than and you guys know who you are.(I suppose you guys don't even read my blog. -.- I sounded just like Barney.)

This post sounded emo-ish at this point of time which was totally not part of the plan. I was simply planning to talk about how I love to have a close group of friends and that's about it.

All I wish is to have a good group of friends where we know each other so well and we just talk and do everything together. Me, and you and our booth.

You have no idea how much I live my life around sitcom. Okay fine. Maybe you do know considering the fact that both my cats are named after Ted and Marshall from How I Met Your Mother. What? Oh yeah, I am crazy enough to actually name my company as WADDUP, which is one of the catch phrase by Barney Stinson from How I Met you Mother as well. (I mean I can't use LEGEN..DARY, Suit Up or Awesome right?)

So what are the other Sitcoms that I really like? Of course, the mother of all Sitcoms, F.R.I.E.N.D.S! In fact I started watching all these Sitcom really seriously thanks to F.R.I.E.N.D.S when they still air it on TV.

Another of the older ones that I really enjoyed was Fresh Prince of Bel Air!

No, I could hardly remember what happened in the show cause it goes really way wayyyyy back.

And of course life watching Sitcom ain't easy in Singapore cause the TV doesn't show a lot of them due to the language which is very often very awesome cause of the sexual content. Although they do not show those overseas ones, local TV did produce quite a bit of them for a period of time. Like Under One Roof, Phua Chu Kang, Happy Belly, Sassy Neighbor, 剪剪大家乐, 播音人 and even 敢敢做个开心人 was pretty good too.

How come huang wen yong like never grow old at all?

Thanks to the internet we have sites that allows us to watch these shows.(Paid or not) And sitcom came crashing back into my life. How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory and my most recent love, TWO BROKE GIRLS!

I am such a fan boy that I actually have books by Barney! Both the Bro Code and Playbook!

So how to make an awesome sitcom? (Taken from somewhere awesome on the internet - 9gag)

Living life like a sitcom is way too good. And below are some of the reasons why I wish to be a sitcom character:

1. You might be an architect or whatever job you are doing, you are always spotted at the bar, coffee place or your friend's place. Almost no work stress.

2. You might have a big social circle but these guys always hangs out with you and they are ALWAYS there. And they stays near you too.

3. Problem from the current episode will always be solved right at the end of that episode. No carrying over of problems.

4. All your friends speak in witty lines and it's always funny and nothing much depressing.

5. You will always have hot girls coming in and out of your life.

6. Your favorite coffe joint, bar, comic shop will always be so near your place and everywhere seems to be in walking distance.

7. You will not have issues like money issues or what not. Look at Joey, although poor but still survived.

8. You can be old and fat in season 9 but all you have to do is re-run the season 1 shows and you look hot again!

The Reasons Why I Hate Chinese New Year.

If there is such a thing as the Chinese New Year Grinch, I might be one of the best representation of it in a fat ugly human form.

I know I am a bummer or a killjoy when it comes to CNY but seriously I think CNY is more like a killjoy and bummer to my life. It screws my life up in too many ways and causes too many inconvenience if you ask me.

Not in any order of why I hate CNY but below is a list.

1. The Freaking Relatives.
- This is the ONLY time of the year that you probably meet them every year.You have to start ridiculous topics to kill the awkward silence. You have to act like you are even interested in anyone's life and what they are doing. You have to go through long hours of chat and listen to how your aunt or cousins show off how awesome their life is and probably the fact that I have nothing to show off other than my big belly makes me really angsty during visits. Irritating questions such as when are you getting married, what degree you have and what car you drive piss me off too. Some people will tell me that ang baos is like a pay and just take it easy but I will go to the extend of "You may take your ang bao back and just leave me alone" That is how much I hate meeting these irrelevant people of my life. I choose my friends and people around me and sad to say I am not given a choice to share my last name and my bloodline.

2. All the freaking shops are close!
- They give you 2 freaking days off work and ZERO entertainment. Every other place is closed and what can we do? Even getting breakfast is super irritating. Only Macdonalds' right!

3. Long Queue at the Cinema.
- One of the very few entertainment left and it is always long queue!

4. Every freaking thing is EXPENSIVE!
- Those shops that are not closed and not long queue are all EXPENSIVE! Freaking price hike by 20-30%? Are you freaking kidding me? I know you sacrifice your CNY but hello? I can sacrifice my CNY too you know?

5."Let's talk after CNY".
- Being a business owner, it sucks to get 860498621983124 E-mails and call from clients telling you to talk only after CNY. Than? I stone in front of my business for the past 2 weeks! Damn you stably paid workers!

6. Auto Out of Office replies.
- This is just as good as point no.5 but when i say just as good I meant just as bad. Y U PEOPLE NO WORK!!

7. Buying of new clothes.
- I dunno why we must buy new clothes. Like really, I like to buy clothes as and well I like and not buy during CNY. I am a plus size and it's not easy to hunt for something. and this also reminds me that my pants size just got larger again.

8. Spring Cleaning.
- Seriously? Spring Cleaning? Why must we clean those awkward places that nobody ever sees? Throw away old things? But I am a freaking hoarder lah!

9. It's not Sexy at all.
- You know how people will have higher sex drive during festives like V.day, X'mas, 1st Jan New year, thanks giving and even days such as st pats day or halloween where people will party, drink and then make love? When was the last time you have some passionate and hot sex because it's CNY? "Hey! Thanks for visiting, wanna have sex?"

10. Difficult to travel around.
- What is worst than this? Packed SBS buses, expensive taxi fare, highly possible failing trains and expensive car rental. Even buying a car is no joke, Expensive COE. Basically it's freaking irritating to travel during CNY? Can someone make a teleporter already?

11. FUCK UP TV PROGRAMS
- Dear Mediacorpse, can buy better shows? Can air better shows? I seriously hate all those "special" programs. Freaking lousy and retarded.But I must say 2012 ain't too bad a year cause got Ip Man 1 and 2!

So... ya.. I really hates CNY in all ways. So, I am very sorry if I do not paste any happy new year message, I did not reply any happy CNY text or anything. I know CNY means a lot to many chinese friends and it has a great history and what not. I do agree that it is important to a certain level but I can't deny my negative feelings towards CNY. I do not know how this happen but it is like this for me. I am not sure if it is because how westernize I have become over the years or because of the environment I am living in but I do not like it. In fact I never like it since I was young, or do I use to? Anyway, I hope I didn't pass any negative vibe to you and I still hope you guys have a good celebration in which ever way that can make you guys happy!

This is something I am very proud of. No, I am not part of the band but I grew up listening to their music. I might not be one who follows their news very closely, I can't memorize all their song lyrics and neither do I know all about them. But there is a special place these guys stand in my heart.

I was reading iWeekly and the reporter was talking about the recent drama 天与地 and how inevitable it will bring Beyond into our mind once again. Call me dumb or a fanboy but it has been awhile since I read something off a lifestyle magazine and I actually feel touched. It was a very weird feeling, an emotion I do not experience often. The journalist pointed out something very interesting, not just about the talent of Beyond but about what this single young man has in his head back than. How much he wanted to change the world with music and wanted things to be different. He made it happen using music. Too bad heaven needs talent and he was taken away at a young age of 31. He is none other than the talented lead singer/song writer of Beyond. - 黃家駒. I can't say that I have heard it all in the music scene but I have heard him and it makes a difference in my life. It is not just about how his music touched me but it's the passion he had for music and for a bigger change in the world.

Beyond might be a reason why I am a dream makers, passion chaser and even a freedom fighter. I like how they have a passion for something and they do it with their best ability and not all commercial like music these days.

The journalist also pointed out something which is so damn true. When was the last time you heard people in the Chinese music scene writing about world peace?

When was the last time you heard people writing about his love to his mum?

I am not sure how much of Beyond do you guys know but I must say their songs ain't just like those recent emo bullshit that just goes i love you and Y U NO LOVE ME. I know this is the trend and I am sure love song is always a trend but they never move with the crowd. Instead they create new trends.

The short speech before the song was really touching. I do not believe he said that to make himself look good but instead he really mean it. Singing about world peace and anti-racist.

This has to be one of the KTV favorite? Singing about passion and life.

Although I am a Beyond fan but I never pick a Beyond song during KTV session cause 1 is never enough. I will go on and on. My heart goes to their song everytime I hear their song being played live even not by them. The time I 1st went dragonfly. I feel so at home when a band plays Beyond's music and play it well. The time I 1st went to live impact which is a thai pub. The thai performers sang a Beyond song. Although in Thai Accent but I still sang at the top of my voice and dance around. The time when the two Malay dude performed a Beyond song during Singapore Social Media Day. My heart almost dropped out. It was so blardy awesome!

I have no idea how the current guys hate each other or not but my heart still goes to the Beyond when
駒 was still with us. I have no idea if we can get a band to be like Beyond in the current market but I must say there will be no band that will be able to replace them.

Beyond is not just about good music but it is about how they touched people and change the world with their music for a bigger course.

I think this is one of the hottest gossip in the blogosphere this few days right?

So our Blog Queen XiaXue went and slam another CB (Chio Bu) blogger Silver Ang about some thing she did(Or at least according to her source. Yah hor, as a blogging queen she should have stated her source right? Or else also like not very credible.). As I am very sure they are much much more popular than I am, I do not think there is a need for me to hyperlink their brog when I mention them.

So what happened?

Read it from Alvin's blog if you are interested. See, I need to hyperlink Alvin's blog cause although I like to read his blog but his blog not as popular. Why? Cause we have no cleavage to show or maybe cause two guys fighting ain't as interesting. You don't believe me? We had this discussion over twitter earlier today and we decided to try it out.

So after he scold me ah pui and all and wanna fight with me, he still went on to facebook to look for another argument. But he see me no up and only wanna fight with Mr. Brown wor. No give me face?

So now what? Cause Mr Brown can make video than he more interesting meh? You think I cannot make video? Okay, I admit Mr Brown more popular than me, cause people mentioned by Minister so I bo wei gong lah. But because I am jealous so I am not hyperlinking his brog also lor. But I ish can make beedio too hor!

Scare or not now?

So anyway, jokes aside. I am not surprised that such things happened online within the blogosphere. Our blogosphere is just pretty much like a very big organization where everyone works in but for different client and different purpose. I am sure there are a lot of people out there who do not see eye to eye to another blogger/tweeple online. In fact I am very sure there are a lot of people out there who doesn't like me but I mean we do not need to tell the whole world how we feel about everyone right?

In fact I am sure some of your guys who are reading this post will automatically link me up with one of the person who I had a little "history" with online previously. Too bad none of us is as popular as these two ladies, else we would be on the papers too. Or at least I am very sure that is what he wish. All I can say is that we are all humans and we all have differences and there isn't a need to iron out everyone one's difference. I do not hate him as a person but probably just do not agree to his action over certain issues but end of the day I do not see a need to create a post to tell everyone what action of his turns me off.

Although I have never met XiaXue and I am friends with Silver, I am taking this very objectively. I am sure some of you who are reading this must be thinking that I am saying this is simply because I dare not offend XiaXue. No, I do not have this kind of "fear" within me and who am I to offend her anyway? I am not at all surprise about how some "younger bloggers"(sorry I can't find a better word) will feel that there is a power distance between the popular bloggers and the "not-so-big-time" bloggers. This "caste system" is inevitable thanks to marketing people like us which I am not totally not proud. It is the numbers that we are looking at when it comes to KPI calculation but end of the day we are all humans. I have very close friends who are "bigger time" bloggers like dweam, holly, beatrice, nadnut (dont ask me why all ladies) and a few others but that doesn't make them being a snob when they see me. I still remember how we become friends. No, I am not defending XiaXue but I am saying that caste system does not work in making friends, less clicks or less followers does not make you a lesser person. All these could just happened simply because of a few small misunderstanding.

End of the day, I felt that although we know each other through online and all, there are things that we can take it off the internet and work it out without making a big fuss online. Unless getting (in)famous is one of your target for blogging. I always preach this to every blogger is that, blogging is an interest for me, it is a hobby, not a tool to get rich or get laid.(Although I do not mind the latter happening).

Happy New Year Everybody! It has already been 9 days into 2012 and this is actually my first post of the year! So what happened? Yes, I used to blog more until I got an arrow in my knee. If you have yet to read this meme - Where the hell have you been? If you have been seeing this meme but no clue what is happening, I am going to share with you. This meme happened thanks to our 2011 game of the year - Skyrim. So many of their NPC will just tell you random things like " I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee."

True Story.

Anyway, so yup. I got wrapped into Skyrim too, thus I blog a little less. In fact I am half way in my game while I am typing this post. So what is Skyrim about? It is like a mmorpg but you do not get the MMO part. Just another RPG? It's an open map RPG which means you have a choice of you own legacy, there are certain quest that are not needed and there are random people you can just slash and yes dragons too. So if you are familiar with other games, I would say that this is pretty much like GTA set in a different universe and you try to kill dragons instead of helicopters.

Anyway an interesting review from gamespot.

And yes, it is the 5th installment of the elder scrolls. So what about the other games before this? Check out the bluffer's guide!

If you ask me what is so fun about this is that the story is actually very interactive and you just wish to seek the answer to each stories and on top of that it is not difficult to play at all. Each quest is being monitor with the help of journals and maps so even though you have 809670512893124 quest to do it ain't that difficult to keep track. And the irritating part about this game? Traveling around from mountains to another is really a pain? You hardly know which way leads to which mountain at times! And like mentioned in one of the review videos, your AI partner can be very much an idiot ~~at times.~~ almost all the time.

On top of these points, the lack of online version of this game is both a plus point as well as a minus for me. I love the fact that I could play anytime I wish without finding irritating online players or the need to find friends to complete certain quest, but that being said it also means that we are not able to trade items or complete quests together. Overall this game is really an addiction and I read that there are people who spent like 300hrs on a single character? WTF?

I suggest you pick up this game if you are a gamer. It's on Xbox360, PS3 and even PC. It ain't the game of the year for nothing!

Before we go on to words, watch this video 1st.

This dude is 171 cm and is still in his high school. And according to articles, he didn't make it to NBA yet is simply because of his age issues.

From this video, we can see that he is fast, aggressive, creative and accurate. Not to take credit away from him, I would like to point out a few things to viewers, be it you are NBA fans, basketball fans or simply just my fans. (puke), this is a mashup video which means he could be scoring 3-18 per match but we are not seeing the 15 misses here. He might look fast and accurate on the video cause the defenders are slow and young. Considering that they are highschool kids as well. No? What he is doing in his league is known as creative for now but in NBA, you might be known as unorthodox and unpredictable. Basketball is a team game and it might be tough for you to bring your team any further.

Than again, he might be the future of tomorrow. His speed and size reminds me of Allen Iverson. His creativity reminds me of Gilbert Arenas and even Magic Johnson. Another point to note is that he is only a high school kid and imagine his puberty just decides to come late and come anytime soon, you will have a 6"9 point guard. Familiar enough? No joke he will be the best if this is going to happen to him.

NBA is a very intensive league, physically no doubt, you play 82games each seasons with back to back games and against 7 footers veteran who are out to crash you and end your career anytime you mess with them.

So will he be the best point guard ever? Only time will tell!

Just when I thought 2010 was mad, it just got crazier as the time goes. 2011 is ending in a few days time and let's take a look.

1st Qtr

What can be a bigger highlight of 2011? Bigger than having your very own startup? Waddup Events Pte Ltd. A new baby started by myself and two others. Although a humble startup but I was blessed and lucky. I was offered warm welcome back when clients started giving me jobs and referral. And point to note none of my current clients are clients from my previous companies. (P.S: Very much appreciate if you could help me like the facebook link. :x)

And also in this Q i kinda got myself quite a bit of places on the local cyber scene. I was featured on sites like OpenRice, CozyCot and even Temasek Poly!

And of course, the annual event - Twestival! And this time round Waddup was part of it! Coordinating as well as sponsor for good cause!

2nd Qtr

This is a sad Q I must say. I lost. Lakers lost in the NBA playoffs to Mavs who went on to become the champion in a most unwanted fashion. 4-0 Sweep.

No 6th ring for him. No 4th 3peat for Old Man Phil.

Singapore was nothing but simply the Election. Voting is a secret and I lost. :x

Like what people say, in life we lost some we win some and I did win quite a bit too. Together with 1stjournal, we did a video for my little Nat Nat and her cold storage run. And of course, with our professional Ideas and equipment, winning it was a piece of cake.

Social Media was the way for me. Not only did we win the youtube video contest, the company and I was part of Singapore Social Media Day which was powered by a group of youth volunteers and Omy.sg. Very eventful event and I made so many new friends!

And the best of the qtr has yet to come! It's the arrival of little Marshall! Half brother of Ted! Spent quite a bit of time to get them to love each other and they never looked back!

3rd Qtr

As usual, we always kick off 3rd Q like a boss cause it's my birthday. Although I was really lazy and didn't throw a party this year, no birthday is a low key birthday with Social media tools like twitter and facebook. I think I had almost close to 200 birthday wishes. Longest Post of the year thanks to all the screenshots. Thanks guys! Needed the love!

Talking about love and social media, the girl next door I met on social media became a beauty queen overnight. Valerie sure made me proud. Not too sure how proud I am about here? Here's how proud I am! Yes, I did a post just to show off we are friends. HAHA.

And of course, another life changing event that happened in my life was joining of Lions Club Singapore. I never imagine joining a community service club. I am helpful within my friends and community(at least I believe so) but I never believe that I would want to serve the community. It started off as a "help" I am giving a special friend but it ended up as a commitment that I pick up myself. It's nothing like joining a community service club in a school, we are talking about the world largest service organization and I am actually part of it. No joke it will take up time but I actually enjoy serving the community as a whole. Go ahead and be shock about it, cause I am just as shock as you are.

Just when I thought 3rd Qtr is more often a quiet one, it just got louder than I thought. I was actually part of Singapore Blog Awards. Nope, I did not win any awards but the company and I was awarded the job to run the event! How cool is that? Working with the omy team is one of the best experience. They are experienced and really easy to work with. And best of all, through this job I manage to meet liked minded people and the hidden gem! Chrispytine!

4th Qtr

The time of the year I fear most. I can even get depression just by thinking about it. It is the month where I(and the company) earn the most, most tired and sleeps with my tiny eyes open. And all the paper work I am struggling with every day when it comes to account closing. -.-

I mean on top of work I did have my fair share of fun like attending events, in fact there are too many events to attend in the 4th Q! I am always glad that the guys can come to my events when there are so many events in this Qtr alone. Talking about random events, I suppose the best have to go to International Suit Up Day which was started by my Bro - Barney Stinson.

In fact I have yet to blog about it cause my video is still not up. *beam at Mr.Ma AGAIN*. it has to be the moment where my little marshall left home! Silly Marshall left home for 5 days and I swear almost half the local social media scene was helping to find him? I got like 7-8,000 blog visits on the day itself and RTs. Too much help. So glad the silly boy just came home after 5 days.

And, bye Kaplan~ Finally graduated from the stupid school after 18 months. Bye Bye Stupid School!!

Oh ya, back to the proposal, yes, ladies, I am now officially engaged and has a blog - happymrandmrssmith.blogspot.com. We are going to blog about our wedding planning journey and share with other soon to be married couples! Hope it's fun to read and not too boring! :) And thanks for the crazy numbers of grats on my fb wall!

And of course I was really busy this Dec with jobs and different clients and I guess the one that gets the most attention must be the Haagen-Dazs journey of indulgence. Truly awesome event for both the guys working and those guests on the trip. I sure hope the client felt the same. HAHA. It's funny how come they have an app for iPhone but not on the iPad.

I was surfing the app store and I stumble upon this app. It makes the whole blogging experience feels like you are just typing a very massive and long SMS. And it might also get affected but #DYAC.

This is how much blogging has change since the very first time I tried it in year 2003. Changing of template, uploading of photos, editing of photos and even the style of typing. Everything has change so much, everything is so much easier and fast now. We use I use things like photobucket which will expires your photo and leave you w a broken link, uploading pictures on 56k was a bitch, in fact without a digital cam or scanner, photo blogging was almost impossible. And the HTML typing was a major bitch. It's all so simple these days.

Do you have a voice in your head? No, I am not talking about SIRI. That is in your phone and probably the AI of Steve Jobs since he passed on. I mean the voice you talk to and the voice you fight against every second in your life. When life threatening decisions are to be made, do you talk to yourself? What about some situations like you know what you need to do is different from what you want to do?

I think I go through such issues like 30,000 times a day. I have this voice in me telling me things of what to do and I discuss with myself all the time. I never understand why I disagree with myself so much some times. Below is a sample list of some of the things I fight against myself very often.

I need to save money - I want to buy a new PS3, new phone, new camera.
I need to get my driving license - I do not have enough money, i need to save for my wedding.
I am so getting married - I think I want to party.
I am so going party and get drunk - I am not in the mood and just want to stay home today.
I am so staying home today! - I am damn bored at home!!!
I am bored and shall do some work and maybe some new proposal - I am lazy and I shall rest since it's weekend.
I shall so go to the gym or out of the house since it's weekend! - I am really lazy, maybe I should just stay in and pack my room.
My room is too messy, I shall pack it. - I think i shall watch some Dvds first.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!

I think I am going crazy.

Anyway I was also talking to myself about all this wedding preparation thing. before talking about all the "event" preparation, I still am not too sure how "ready" I am. I want her, I love her but yet I am very worry about not having space in between us. I am still very worry about days that I have to work late or entertain people or go to event and I have to leave her at home all alone. I want to go home and spend time with her but yet I am very worry that I will bored her up spending too much time together. I can imagine us having a good evening at home , just the two of us wit my two kitties and having a nice home cooked meal whip up by me but I can also imagine the problem we going to have on who to mop the floor and clear the dishes after the nice meal. There are too much uncertainty I am facing at this point of time and I don't think anyone can make me feel better about this whole thing other than myself. I know many people who are happily married but on the other hand I also know many people who just surviving in a marriage or worst, falling out of it. Is this pre-wedding stress? There are so much responsibility one is going to pick up and seriously how do people go through this?

I know it's silly to be thinking about such shit at this point of time. Not just because we are engage but it is because I know I am a very Lucky guy to find a girl like her. Especially when I am who I am. I am not the best guy out there although I think I am not too bad either. HAHA. What can I say other than the fact that I am lucky I am in love with my best friend?

I finally got myself onto the iPhone 4S bandwagon. Frankly there is nothing much of a difference in the emotional part of it as compared to the days when I upgraded my phone from a Nokia 6510 to Nokia 7650.

The upgrade from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S felt something like this :

"AHHH!!! NEW PHONE!! UNBOX TIME!!"
"I wonder if the iCloud works and if I could get back all my contacts."
"click click click.. loading......done"
"Oh, it works. welcome back everything."

And ya, that's about it. it felts like nothing did change at all...

UNTIL.... I activated SIRI!

It's true that SIRI has issue understand my kind of English.(Or rather I had problem speaking the English it can understand. -.- )

Anyway I have to say it is really cool! Look what SIRI did for me!

I saw a tweet some time back about one of my favorite restaurant at Tampines Mall closing down. That place was one of our favorite place to have weekend dinners and desserts, it has been around for quite a while and we were all kind of devastated when we heard the news back then.

BUT NOT ANYMORE! Cause the new restaurant is ~~just as~~even more awesome! Check out the hot chicks!

First of all I would like to thank everyone who helped in many ways. From spreading the missing poster, RT-ing my post, sponsoring rewards, calling me and telling me that they will come over to help me find him(And Keong who actually drove down in the middle of the night to be a search party), strangers who called me and help me spot for Marshall,SMSing/Twitting/Whatsapp/facebook/Private Message me and giving me support that he will be home and even those who got all worried with me. I have no idea how to thank each individual one bye one so I just want to say thank you again and again!

How It Happened?:

It's 3 plus am and he came home meowing at my main door. Open the door and he just jump right back in. The family was all cheering!

How Is He?:

He looks too clean to have had ran around the neighbourhood. He doesn't smell and he doesn't even have dirty feet. He was just very hungry and thirsty. Even his voice sounded a little weird. We suspect someone just took him in for a few days but did not feed him but we will never know the truth.

I am so glad they are back and all love again!!

Horse Racing Like A Boss!

If you ain't very convinced about how I party with the girls after reading the previous post during the crocs event, guys I am going to show off again and this is how I attend horse racing events.

Fine! I am a show off but comon dude. Would you not? From left to right we have Karen, Nira, Irene, Regina, Irene(another), Clara and Jessie! WADDUP ABOUT THAT MAN! I'm a little sad we do not have Eunice and Pearlin in the house!

Anyway this picture is taken from Irene's facebook and it's taken during the Longines events at Singapore Turf Club. We were suppose to be able to meet Aaron Kwok but I guess the rain scare him away but we still had a great time eating, drinking and watching the races.

One of the most interesting things that happened to me being one of the very few male bloggers around is the post that I posted about "My 1st boyzillian Experience" which happened last May.

The interesting part about it ain't cause now the world knows I'm "naked" but the funny part is actually how the ladies are actually curious about how it was done. Although it has been more than a year but some female bloggers who I'm closer to still ask me about it.

Project 365 : Garbage At Large. #GAL

So we always talk about how clean Singapore is and how people like our country. No doubt that Singapore is MUCH cleaner than many other countries especially when compared to our neighbors. Then again, low crime doesn't means no crime and that goes the same for garbage.

What am I complaining about this time round? Garbage, literally garbage. So few days ago I twitted this.

How bad are the garbage ? Check this out.

Very Neat Hor?

Very neatly arranged garbage isn't it? Seriously? The trash bin is just beside and they do it everyday and do not want to throw the trash in. Maybe for this time round there are some bulky items but what about the bags of smaller rubbish?

And my tweet got @YamKeng 's attention since he is one of Tampines's MP as well as on twitter.

So like what I was saying over twitter to @YamKeng is that I have tried talking to some of my neighbors but they just agree that they shouldn't be doing this. Like if everyone agrees who is the one doing it? I can't just jump into conclusion that it is those that I did not talk to right?

I have no idea where @YamKeng is coming from when he question did the town council clear my trash. Cause to me, it's not about if we are just using the Singapore Solution* but it is more like finding a solution for Singapore. Singaporean are just about "not getting fined" cause that is like how are have been trained. Indulge in fear. Of course I am not saying that we should give award to people who throw trash into the bin since from the start it should be your duty to keep the environment clear for this is your home.

@YamKeng is right, it takes a lot of education to educate all these people especially when a lot of our domestic helpers are not local and they are very likely to be the one clearing the trash. Do not get me wrong, I am not pointing my fingers at them and saying that it's all done by them.

So to take things into my hold hand, I am doing a Project 365 and uploading pictures of all these shameless people and their rubbish throwing artwork onto my facebook and blog.

What is the most important thing to bring along on a boat trip? Water? Compass? Snacks? A good pair of shoes? WRONG ~~ The answer is HOT GIRLS !!

Hey guys, don't be jealous okay? Fat boys has got hot girls ! This was made possible thanks to Crocs. Crocs got this boat sailed to Sunny island all the way from Hong Kong. Since they made the effort to bring the boat in I shall be nice and bring in the girls.

Sorry, I am only talking about the ladies. :x It's actually my first time meeting Selene but she is already like such a familiar face to me thanks to all the featured on Bea's blog. HAHA.

Yes, it's day 2 and I am still not talking about the guy ! : p. I was there for both the days cause I am a "part time" crew for this event and my job is to entertain the girls. And if you are asking what do I mean by 2/3 of the cambelles it's because this blog is run by this 3 girls and they are actually very poorthing cause they actually need to share a blog address. :x

Anyway, for the event we were each given a pair of shoes and it's obviously a long long long wait cause the ladies simply spent too long to choose their shoes cause there were simply too many designs to choose from !

On today's episode, I'm going to teach you two very interesting terms. Although the very first word of these two terms are basically same word in different tenses but their meaning is actually way different. Sold Out Vs Sell Out.

SOLD OUT :

This is SOLD OUT. There could be a few reasons why this is sold out.

1. This is an exclusive product.
2. This product is really awesome and thus everybody wants it.
3. This product is really worth the price.
4. This product has gone through a good marketing segment and found it's positioning and everyone in that subculture loves it and got it.

Generally in Singapore's term we call it "Sorli, No Stock !"

SELL OUT :

This is SELL OUT. There could be a few reasons why this is SELL OUT.

1. Because he/she is poor and jobless and needs to get freebies.
2. Because he/she needs the attention and trying to be famous.
3. This person is not worth any price and getting freebie is all he could get.
4. He/she totally has no positioning and he does like almost everything and is seen everywhere.
5. He/she has no clue.

Generally in Singapore's term we call it " Giam Peng Giam Sai."

This is actually a classic example of how some celebrities loses their market shares in doing endorsement. Like my marketing lecturer once pointed out about Brad Pitt endorsing both Edwin Jeans and Levi's Jeans. (Although it's different year) This gives consumer a mix feeling cause they will feel that the pair of jeans are the same but are the two brand the same? Are they selling the same brand image? Do they even want to be associated with other brands that Brad Pitt was endorsing? Brand image is very important and so is personnel branding, some of the other products he endorsed includes Honda integra, Jewelry, Coffee, Heineken Beer, Tag Heuer and even Evance Rolex. Does all this brands share the same brand image? No doubt he is a face, he is popular but is that what a real marketer wants and "is there no one else ?"

Same thing for a blogger if you ask me. Should a single blogger be talking about everything under the sun? Every single brand even where it does not tell people about you? Should it be a marketer's job to make sure they endorse the right blogger or should it be a bloggers job to say no to brand that does not speak their personel image?

Words to the marketers : Choose your bloggers wisely if you want your product to be sold out.

Words to bloggers : Choose your products wisely and don't be a sell out and hard sell every single thing. You might think you are helping the product but you are actually doing more harm than help.

I am not too sure if I am a little late to blog about this, but I stumble upon Chen Show Mao's maiden parliamentary speech. And can I say this is really one of the very very few times I am actually inspired by a local parliament figure.

This is what it is :

“政者正也，子帅以正，孰敢不正”，“为政以德，譬如北辰，居其所而众星拱之”，“风行草偃”，这些都是孔子说的来形容好的执政者，意思就是，一个好的领导者，只要有信心，有正确的方向，有好的道德与能力把政绩做出来，人民自然会乐意跟著他走。不需要害怕国家分裂，强调团结。
爱国的权利不是任何一个政党可以独占的。一个党再伟大也只是国家的一部分而已，不是国家全部啊！陈独秀说过，＂党外无党，帝王思想。＂在民主社会里，有不同的意见，不同的建议，是很自然的事情。这也是好事。

其实孔子三千年前就已说过，“君子和而不同”。和谐，可却不尽相同。晏婴说过：乐团只演奏一个音符，谁听得下去？白开水上再加白开水，谁喝得下去？一个和谐的社会，不只有一种声音。而是每个人很和平的在法律的範围内发表他的看法，从事政治活动。我们不必防民如防贼。

I'm not too sure how many of my readers actually understand what it means cause if it's just base on the Chinese characters I must confess that I only know around 75-80% of them but in context wise I actually fully understand and in fact feels it that much. (I hope I got it right. )

It talks about unity, it talks about bonding and it talks about something that has always been in my head, the ideal world I wanted, the utopia that I have been looking for - "One Voice".

I always thought that when mending a company, a team or maybe even in a family, it is important for everyone to be united as one, do things as one and I believe this is what many mangers and management thinks as well. We will try to create team bonding session, we will try to pass down mission statements, visual and goals to make sure everyone is on the same page, works together towards one goal to make the whole team better. We try to enforce everyone to go to event together, we try to hire like minded people to form this team dynamics. I always thought that by doing so means getting everyone on the same side.

The speech above reminded me that having differences is common, having differences is inevitable, having difference is actually healthy. It's thru all these differences that people improves and become better. We do not need to fear differences, in fact if everyone is the same, what is the beauty in it? And if an organization is under a good leadership, "one voice" is not needed, it is not something an organization should work towards but instead it should be "harmony".

We can have different thoughts, different culture, different style of work and different beliefs but and the end of day it is harmony that we need to work on to ensure that all the differences only make things better, only make things work out and it is not but using fear or any other ways to eliminate and iron out all differences. It is through good leadership where we integrate all the differences.

Thanks CSM for sharing this. It is really inspiring. I hope I got the meaning correct but nevertheless I think it did inspire me the way I got it.

Twitterverse in Singapore is just ...

Things had change. And the single word that best describe the situation now starts with D and Ends with a G.

Anybody in for a game for hanging with friends ? D I _ _ _ _ _ I _ G. Yes, D I S G U S T I N G.

Things started slow for local Social Media scene I suppose and I shall not say that I am a pioneer but I can easily say that I am one of those who jump onto the bandwagon a little wee bit earlier than the mass. And what puts me off recently is that the Twitterverse is lacking of love. Lack of this little bit of 人情味 as compared to maybe two years back.

Back than Twitter is like a little kampong to me where everyone tries to make friends with one and other and follows one and other, we help each other by RT-ing important tweets, showing support when one is down, meeting up for random dinners, showering each other with #FF / #FollowFriday.

Today, Twitter is like a developed country where everyone is for themselves and trying to create controversy and trying to get more followers yourself and it once again become another big rat race. People are using tricks to get followers, enabling bots to do auto tweets, trying to have more followers than following, trying to get free deals, putting hashtags all over to get the attention, only attending events with exclusive invitation and maybe even putting others down to make oneself look good. More and more bloggers spotted on twitter using it as a form of branding/advertising, spamming nothing but their own blog or related tweets, worst still, influential bloggers using it as a tool of cyber bullying ganging up the others and maybe a lot of brand jumping onto the bandwagon and talks about their promotion and get 5,000 or more followers within the first 3 months and than gone mum after that because contract ends with the agency.

I ask you people.

WHERE IS THE LOVE ?

The golden rule to me of social media is that it is not like(or rather not supposed to be) traditional media where it is a one sided media. Social Media is form in a unique manner by two words. "Social" and the other word is "Media". The word "Social" comes before the word "Media" for a simple reason, it's Social that brings the word out, it's Social, it's Love that make things go round.

What went wrong? Is it because when the "country" got bigger and things just get harder to manage? Is it because how community managers and brand managers has shaped the society to become as such? Is it because local media is giving social media too much attention? No, I take the last question back, our country IS giving social media TOO MUCH, WAY TOO MUCH attention. I do know that listening to feedback is important but going through tweets and facebook comment on national TV is just too much. Every possible prints or TVC comes with a "Follow Us" or "Find Us On", FUCKING GOD DAMN IT, KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOU ARE DOING AND STOP JUMPING ON AND DOING IT FOR THE FUCK OF IT.

Fine, social media spaces are still shaping itself as the time goes by and we are suppose to be able to accept the changes for how it is but I seriously ain't enjoying where this shape is going. It's no rocket science and I can foresee what it is going to be like down the road. There is no right or wrong of how you use each tools, it's always about the perception and where you are standing and watching. As for now, I do not like what I am seeing from where I am standing. Although I am a marketing person, although I do lavish on social media as a source for my work but I do hope to see the glory days where it's love we are showing. That is almost a lil impossible for now and the least I could pray for is it does not go any further into the ashtray.

No, I do not need 20,000 followers, all I want are friends. No, You do not need 20,000 followers cause your tweets stinks.

The popularity rat race.

Some of my clients had ask me this very silly question about whether I am considered a popular blogger or so call famous. My question is what makes you popular and famous ? Is it the number of read/clicks you get per day? Is it the number of followers you have on twitter or likes you get on facebook?

Like seriously, wake up already.

For bloggers or Tweeples (Twitter People) are generally known as opinion leaders in marketing terms. (Thanks me later for the knowledge with a beer if you have to) Technically we are people who have opinion and in a way influential to our own sub-culture. Moreover with platforms and more and more people on each platforms you will become a very influential guy even before you know it. Social media voices are getting very very loud these days. Especially with traditional media like TVs, Radios and even prints are watching us. But like I always tell everyone

"Social Media - Everyone has a voice but not everyone has a brain."

It's really very much who you are reading and who you are believing. It's very much you are who you read kinda thing too. As for me, I read gutteruncensored more than anything. (I think they are down recently, right? )

We all know who are the people we read online and who are the good to follow on twitter especially for me as a marketer who lurks around local social media scene more than anything else. I prefer to use the word "active" to describe most people who have good numbers of followers/readers/likes on any of the platform. It's about you being active to get certain amount of support in your own sub-culture. It's just like how well people know your mother in your neighbourhood wet market. Maybe 90% of the store owner knows her but that doesn't make her famous cause her going to a new market might not have this good % of support too right?

So if you ask me who are the really famous one locally ? I will only give you two names.

Xiaxue and Mr.Brown. It's only when you can be recongnize by the world or being mentioned by the minister during his speech. That is famous. You see, I do not even need to hyperlink both of them and I'm sure you know their sites.

No doubt you get fame and what not freebies and get treated like a V.I.P, but being famous comes with a price of haters. I am sure many out there hate XX for how bitchy she is or Mr.Brown for being lame at times but comon, even grammy awards winning has haters no? Than again to quote myself earlier on twitter

"We always say that u need to be famous to have haters but it's not a 2 way road.Stop trying hard to gather haters to prove u r famous. "

Reversing the process doesn't work. Seriously.

To sum this post up, social media to me is really social and social is about making friends and not gathering minion to make yourself popular. Stop all the check score on social media. Followers/Friends/Likes are friends NOT FOOD(for your ego).

My take on H&M Singapore

Nope, I did not visit H&M Singapore last weekend and neither did I do it yesterday. So what is there to talk about if I did not even visit H&M Singapore myself ?

The reaction of netizen and shoppers towards H&M.

We have people commenting on people who visit it as silly and stupid and why Q so hard. Well on the other hand we still see that H&M is still full of people and the Q goes on and on even on a weekday evening.

I think it's fun to do such things as in go Q and feel the atmosphere if you have friends to go with. It's just like Chinese new year bazaar. You might end up with nothing but it's all fun no ? I will not be there a day before just for the voucher however I do not rule out the fact that I might go Q if I had the time and correct company to go with. Too bad I was busy that weekend.

Neither would I comment on those who did not go as "sour grape" cause i believe that everyone has their own shopping preference. As for me I think if I really want to shop, i prefer a nice quiet environment and I will just go in a few months time but if i am to visit it now, it's all for the fun of it. But no, i will not worship H & M cause i love my guan yin ma.

I recently join this club known as the Lions Club Singapore. As of who we are and what we do, I shall keep my comments for now as I am still very new and might not be the best person to share more. Basically in my own words, we are a group of people who gathers for social purpose as well as doing charity and good deed.

I was pretty hooked onto the game Tiny Tower on iPhone / iPad for awhile. I played like too many hours on the first day but I soon got bored about it and it slowed down by like really a lot. It's like one of those Sims game. In fact it is a Sims game. We could have called it Sims Lift or something. You earn money, send people up and down the building. It's kinda silly but yet addictive. Something kept me going on and on and it was because i wanted to have this setting !

Look !! My own WADDUP BUILDING ! How I would love my company to develop into. Having an in house props fabrication, doing our own media filming and a full creative level. Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes.I know it was 1 month ++++ ago but I procrastinated big big time. Sorry I did not have the time ( better word for lazy. The Burger is actually a really nice burger. It was awesome at 1st bite but the last quater was just unbearable. I have to put it in my mouth and use my saliva to soften it in order to force it down the throat. It's not funny but it was fun. No, If you are wondering if I had burger phobia after that. I still love burger like I love hotdogs and Pizza. All American Food Yo !

And the 7 of us actually went to a LAN SHOP yes, LAN SHOP and played L4D2 for almost 2 hours to celebrate my birthday. No KTV, No mad drinking session. Must be old liao !!

National Day was pretty well spent. Spent time at home with Ah Dum. Packed the room, shower the cats and watched NDP as usual. I would normally throw a house party with pizza and beer and watch the parade with some close friends but I have no idea why I did not do it this year. I have no idea how many of you will puke yourself to death if I start the topic with "I'm a nice person" but I am writing this post to complain how bad it is to be nice. I am not saying I am a saint or I am a really awesome person who has done nothing THAT bad. (hope you are okay)

Some of you might know that I'm involve with some money issues with a certain person I called friend. A certain person I trust and believe just because he is my friend. I was nice enough not to do too much about this issue and gave him time but ended up in a situation where now he told the official lies to get away with what he owes me rightfully. I lost faith.

I am the kind of person who will give flexibility to my clients when they told me they can't give me cod because their accounts has a long procedure of clearing paper work and I will still do the work first but end of the day they will break their promise of the date to pay. I just hope that this little flexibility I am giving will let client feel that I am a good partner and will appreciate this and pay up on time there after.

I am the kind where I will lend my friends some money and nv expect to get it back cause I felt that if you are worth helping and if it's within my means I will. If I get it back, it's a bonus but apparently I am not getting the bonus yet.

I am the kind that will let people get up the bus before me if I think I am not in a hurry and maybe the next bus will be empty. But apparently SG bus is always crowded and there will always people pushing you away.

I am the kind that I will speak the truth to wake u up and take the role as a bad person but end of the day u will get it that it's for your good and I am trying to help but apparently I am still the bad person.

Is it that difficult for humans to trust each other and give each other a little appreciation and a little faith ? Must we live in a condition where we are all for ourselves and we just care about profit and not relationship? How could we live in a condition where there is no love? How could we live in a condition where we are so skeptical about each other's move and always watching our back? Apparently we could and we are doing it.

Call me stupid, call me silly but I trust the people around me. I have a strong gut feeling about people who are cheating me or lying but too often I choose to ignore that feeling and go with my head and decided to trust but always ended up as the victim. How many more blows can I take before I decide to turn to the dark side and live a life without faith and trust?

The Singapore Blog Awards finally ended after months of battling. Seeing bloggers "chu" all kind of "pattern" online to garner votes. From creating "fake" facebook events to overkill of #sba2011 hashtag for everything, good morning, good night or maybe even "Pang Sai Time".

The event happened like few weeks back and I know I am very very slow cause I am only blogging about it now. It's my first time being part of Singapore Blog Awards but I am still not an invited guest. I was part of the events team which made this event happened. Being part of Waddup Events, we manage to get the deal with OMY team and get to work with them once again after the #SGSMD.

Not trying to gain cookie points but working with the team was a pretty cool experience as we work like we are an integrated team and not like they are client and we are ~~slaves~~ vendors.

Over the weeks of preparation I get to meet lots of new blogger friends as well as meeting some familiar faces from the blogosphere.

With the theme "History gets Social" on the the table, we called in for a photo shoot with some bloggers and I must say the biggest "profit" of this project was meeting the awesome Chrispytine ! She is one wacky girl ! Fine, that's from the #humsupleague point of view but it was awesome meeting the rest too !

Instant Feedback

This is the part which I felt that it's really different about all the other 100 overs shows I've done on average year as compared to Singapore Blog Awards. I get INSTANT and I mean INSTANT feedback about how good or bad the event was. Over the last week I have been reading so many blogs and so many tweets about the event. I almost get to hear it from every guest as compared to a DnD or a product launch I have done where guests walk away and my only KPI I could measure on was base on what my point of contact client says. This time round I get to hear so much more. I have heard positive comments about how good Shimona's singing was. How awesome was the food and pizza. How funny the skit was and how handsome the event manager looks. (koff* koff*).

Of course I also get some not so good feedback over some of the things like the skit was offensive, bad jokes and pointless or some comments about Steven Lim.

Feedbacks are always welcome be it good and bad and I believe that it should be pretty much the truth hearing it from bloggers and on their blog unless they are just trying to paint a nice picture so they could get invited again next year. Which I clearly doubt so.

I know I am or I should be at the peak of my life instead of feeling old. At the age of 27, I still look like im part of the early 20s thx to my chubby face and kiddo dress sense. Moreover I do not start conversation talking about property, stock, cars or children. All i know about is fun. (and sex.. yes that is fun too)

Some like to call me young at heart but some choose to call me immature but which ever it is, it comes back to the same point that I am young in the head.

It has been a good period for the young Waddup Team. We have back to back events since late March/ Early April until now. A little tiring, irregular sleeping hours and bad eating hours as well. Feeling a little tired now at the end of July.

Just when I thought I could have a good rest or maybe hit the gym this morning, I got injured yesterday. After the event with Lions Club, I saw a group of kids playing basketball and I decided to join them without proper gear and warm up. (And lack of sleep) And as a result I have a injured shoulder/back area. Funniest part of I still have to act an "okay no problem" look during the game just to look good. ( talk about man's pride eh?).

I can't deny the fact that I might look 21 but I am NOT 21 anymore.

He is just wicked awesome and loads of fun to be with but the funny thing was I never even expect to see him during both the encounters. This was what happened.

I was at The Big Groove #TBG2011 the week before. This is an annual event when hip hop dancer around the world gathers in none other than our Lion City Singapore to dance it out. The performance was way too cool and I'm totally converted into a W.C.O fan.

I am not a dancer but I do move to the groove and with me at the event was my Ah Dum, Mint, Hui Peng and Kaye. And crocs was the official shoe sponsor. The dancers from O school were dancing in crocs "light as feather" sneakers. I can't wait to get my hands on them too !

It was actually the 16th years that Fly Emirates was running this event and of course it was awesome meeting some familiar faces like William, HP, Pearlin, Karen and new friend Roseanne. And of course, Sheikh and his lovely wife Anna Belle Francis. They are such a lovely couple. And this awesome pictures was by Roseanne. She was very hardworking taking pictures while.. *koff* i was tweeting and instagraming.

So many of my twitter followers were asking why is SGTurfClub promoting gambling by inviting us for the events ? Nope they are not, they are promoting the event ! Look, SG Turf Club is not all just gambling and horse racing you know ! It's an awesome spot to hold your events too !

Is proper English important ?

I come from a dialect speaking family where my first language is actually cantonese. I had a hard time in school even picking up Mandarin. Instead of calling "school" as 学校 it was known as 书馆 to me. For those of you who did not get it, it's a direct translation from Cantonese. It was a tough trip for me to pick up both English and Mandarin as both my parent does not speak them that often and neither are they able to do it as they were both Chinese educated and their environment did not allow them to do it as well.

It took me more than awhile to be able to speak proper Mandarin and proper English. DANG DANG DANG ! Now here's the question! What is "proper". For you guys who read my blog and twitter should have realize that I am a big time grammar and spelling failure. (To get away with it, I will just declare that I am suffering from dyslexic )And one of you guys actually commented that I talk like an Ah Beng on twitter ! So what makes me think that I am speaking "proper" English? I felt that the key of speaking a language is not just about how much you are able to say but it's also about how much the other party can actually pick up and understand. If you are always speaking in "proper" English but there is no one else who could understand you, there is nothing useful about your skill set. Communication is always a two way thing no ?

That was one of the many topic that caught my attention during the #goodenglishsg event helded by @glishclub yesterday morning at the Garden Slug.

A lot was spoken in the short hour during the event and there are a lot that I agree. The environment of a person who is trying to pick up a language properly is very important. That is why people who are into learning a certain language should always go overseas for an exchange and stay with their native.

That being said, there is 1 of the issues which I do not fully agree. That is actually about "dumb down". It was mentioned that we should not dumb down to people and speak broken English for the sake of convenience and in fact there is no convenience in it cause you will have to waste time correcting it after. No dumb down to broken English, no baby talk.

In my line of work, I have to speak to China workers, Indian workers and many more other workers who can't speak and understand proper English. The best they could do is to capture certain keywords. "Backdrop", "Here", "2pm", "16ft" "OKay ? "

That being an extreme cases, what about in the army ? I am sure most guys been to army and notice the unspoken "class" of English. We have our typical "Hokkien Pek" , "Ah Bang Drivers" and "Old Chinese Encik". They have very bad common of English and you will be surprise how bad it can be. I use to have a buddy who can't spell words like "Lunch Box", "Toilet Roll". So with these "barrier", you will actually have problem blending into their culture and work well with them. They will have this image of you as the "Fake Ang Mo", "That irritating Jiak Kang Tang". Like I mention earlier, communication is a two way affair, so what good is 1 person's effort to 1 organization?

I know it may sound contradicting at this moment. I agree that the importance of language environment plays a very big part in learning a language well but on the other hand I am saying that we should dumb down and blend into other's culture if it's bad language they are speaking. Well, speaking good language is just like any other thing where balance is very important. You have to know where you are standing. If you are in a position of control and change, yes you should encourage the change but if you are in a position where you are junior I suggest you go with the flow until later. Speaking good language is no doubt important but knowing the culture and surviving the world is a little more important I suppose. Never win a battle and lost the war. I guess I am one of those people who are making glishclub's battle a little tougher to fight. :p

Language leaning is just like any other education, it's a life long learning process and I am still trying very hard to improve myself. Due to work as well as self consciousness I am always trying my best cause it can be very very embarrassing when you are not able to spell or speak properly in my current environment.

I suppose one of our favorite is still when the client reply " Please kindly revert by 3pm". Not too sure what is wrong ? Check out glishclub's website and find out more !

How Did Social Media Change My Life

25th June 2011. - I was at *Scape running this event known as the Singapore Social Media day. So what's the big deal here since I work for an events company and doing event is like my daily thing ? The special thing about this event is that it's actually a non-profit, by Social Media for Social Media event. I was invited by Mint Leong many months ago to join the team in organizing this event. I accepted the invite without a 2nd thought. It's all good and I am sure it will be fun working with a group of young and passionate bloggers for a change.

Through the planning and execution of this event, I've made more friends and more "blogger" friends as well. Though the planning of this event is not the smoothest as we are all volunteers from different corner of the blogosphere with different experience and exposure the event did eventually turned out pretty well.

For those of you who have spoken to me personally would know that I actually have a very different and unique my vision for Singapore Social Media Scene.

I am not a "famous blogger" , I do not write very well and neither do I have a very strong fan base. (I might have if I show some cleavage.) But I have a strong believe that Social Media as it's name suggests is something which should be very social and has no borders. I have met many bloggers/tweeples from many cliques and in fact it's sad to say that this little piece of sky has too many clouds. What I would eventually want to see is a same sky with 1 big piece of cloud where everyone from different corner, different company and different background will come together to make it a real "social media" day. This "cloud theory" was actually a very interesting analogy shared to me by another tweeple/friend/business partner of mine - Kevin aka @inrsoul.

I wish to see a social space where we no need to send out special invites for bloggers to come to event, no need to pay you to write, no need to say that you are certain company's blogger or things like "I do not wish to be seen with certain bloggers." I can't deny the fact that there are many black sheep in the industry, many people who mess up the natural balance, many who has offended each others in many ways. That is simply because everyone of us bear this "difference" in ourselves. Silly social status such as "I am a popular blogger and u are not." , "I have more followers than you." , " I only write if I am paid", "I go to sponsored events and I'm awesome". The list goes on but what is "social" media if we hold on to this differences in ourselves? The power of viral and social is when everybody is on the same side isn't it so ? The problem as well as the uniqueness of this "industry" is that everyone has their own voice, everyone has their own style and everyone play by their own rules.

End of the day, my thought is that commercializing this platform will kill the very beauty of it.

But of course, on the other hand I can't denial that I benefitted quite a fair bit out of social media.

One of the biggest benefit has to be making a lot of amazing friends !

And also I got to be part of many amazing and happening events such as Twestival, Social Media Day, Product Launches and more.

It is a group for everyone, straight and gay, who support the belief that everyone deserves the freedom to love. Although I am straight (In fact so damn straight) I still support pinkdot ! I think we should not look at our gay friends differently or judge them on their working abilities or any other abilities simply base on their sexuality. In fact, sexuality is not by choice for many out there. Which is why i thought it's actually very important for a society like us to show support for all our friends.

The gf and I meetup with some of the tweeples and the event was AWESOME !!

What comes to your mind when you are given the theme "black box" ? Probably the "black box" off the airplane might comes to your mind. It represent things such as sound, memories and maybe even tragedy. (Pretty much the only time you need to refer to the black box for help is tragedy isn't it ? )

The artwork from this exhibition is all done by our very own local artist and I thought it's really good. Some of them put me thinking and some of them are just pure genius. Some of you guys might think that since it's a Nokia event, it's more like another commercial product advertising launch but it's not. In my attempt to explain it I would say that it's more like the "Black Box Exhibition Powered by Nokia".

Can you tell what it represents ?

There are quite a number of artwork which I really love but this in particular catch my eye and left an impression. Probably because of who I am and I just felt that it's very close to "heart". This illustration is actually 1 of the 4 illustration which tells us how Nokia "changes" our lives. As for this piece it's actually talking about "Social Media". Everyone is behind a "mask", some "talk bird", some are jokers, some are lurking around while others are just liars. True much? No?

Anyway, this is only one of the many pieces of artwork up in the show and there is no way I could share with you the full experience. You guys have to drop by to check it out.

Mavericks - NBA CHAMPION 2011 !!

I did not see this coming. I am not exactly a true fan of the Dallas. At the beginning of every season, I would find 3 teams to support. 2 which are my standard - Lakers and Wizards and the 3rd team would be a random team I would like to watch. Dallas wasn't on my radar this season,they were on my radar the season before as I thought the Matrix, Tough juice trade would make them special but apparently they are a season late.

Never did I expect them to beat Lakers in a 4-0 fashion and in fact I thought it's almost impossible for them to beat the heat. The heat's defense against the bulls were totally different. I can't explain what happened here. The heat was playing understress due to all the talk ? The Mavericks were hungrier ? I have no idea. The Maverick were just playing at their top. I predicted that the Heat might win although I wish for the Mavericks to win and yes, the Mavericks won.

Some ask me why I hated the heat that much and I think Dan Gilbert sum it all up pretty well - " There is no short cut to success." I just do not like the idea of forming a super team and than getting some veteran players who are hungry and just take the ring away while there are teams out there playing the ass off and won nothing after decade. I am not a fan of Celtics for the same reason ( Other than being a Lakers fan of course). I did not like how Celtics got their ring, by bringing the big 3 together. I do not like how Chelsea and Man City did the super team thing too.

I must say that I am really happy that the Mavericks Beat The Heat but it's just not as fun as watching the Lakers repeat. I just hope that the Lakers can play well under Mike Brown and they will do something to their Line up.

As of now, we have no more NBA updates !

P.S : Caron Butler is the winner of a ring without playing a single playoff game !!!

The Legacy

How many seasons ? 19. After 19 seasons the big diesel finally says good bye to everyone and we can't deny how much the "big ticket" has done for the NBA scene. One of the greatest contribution of his was (although I wish to say adding 3 rings to Lakers, but it's not) that NBA sure made the rim much stronger and heavier. Fine, I'm just messy around. The man was the rookie of the year, MVPs, 4 Rings. He is one of the best in the industry. 19 good seasons is no joke.

It seems like yesterday when I am this fan boy about Shaq and Penny ( I still am a fan of this dual and still wish to watch them play together. Remember earlier this year when Penny wanted to play for heats again ? I wished he land himself at Celtics and get reunited with Shaq, which did NOT happen.). I can't decide if I like this Shaq more because of Shaq or because of Penny cause I'm definitely a Penny fan > Shaq Fan. Too bad this partnership didn't get them any ring and too bad for Penny. No ring AT ALL. : (

And then it was Shaq and Kobe. Sweet Memories for the Lakers fans. A good 3 peat before it all turns bad and I give the credit to the media. Seriously the media did too much and it would be a shame if I don't credit them for this feud. It's fun to read if you are interested. I suppose people grow up and get mature overtime and before we know it things look a little better.

And then Shaq and Wade ! Not my favorite Shaq to be frank. In fact I never expect them to win anything but it's NBA. Amazing happens and they surprise me. They got a ring off the hands of the Mavericks with fashion and I was happy for ZO. And Heat pretty much broke down and followed up with a worst season after this. Which is very sad but not for long since now they have super friends King James and the Semi awesome Bosh.

This is where it all went downhill isn't it? The time where he starts to lose some of his awesomeness when he land himself at Phoenix. I really can't remember what happen at Phoenix and all I could remembered was that was the season Nash didn't make it to the playoffs. The Phoenix gave the Lakers a good one during the playoffs the season after, without Shaq of course.

So we thought we were super.

And things got even worst at Cavs. They all thought that he would be the man to bring hope to both the city and James but I thought otherwise which we all know how it ended. As that ended we thought that should be the very last of Shaq but he surprise us a little I suppose.

Injuries slowed him down, didn't allow him to be his best and in fact the reason why he retired but what can I say? This little man Rondo makes Shaq turns his clock back a little.

I just love this video of Shaq at Celtics seriously.

That's my humble attempt to sum up the big man and his life in NBA. He might not be a legend like Jordan (or James - so Scottie Pippen said) but this is one man who the NBA will miss.

Thanks to FashionSpace.com , I have gotten 1 step closer to the local fashion scene. Although I have organized a few fashion show myself I'm never really into the fashion scene and in the chase for branded goods. In fact looking back, I don't think what I have done are considered fashion shows. They are more like show case of clothes from brands which are in the shopping mall. Purely commercial and no fashion value to mention compared to what I am looking at these days.

I have meet real deal fashion bloggers, fashion boutique owners, fashion designers and it really kicks ass. To be frank, although I'm quite a vain person I am not fashionable in this manner. I have no idea who is the designer of many brands and I have no idea what are the names of those styles and most of the time I just dress for comfort and be presentable. Just like my previous post mentioned, "I'm Cheap" #TrueStory. In short, I do not speak Prada.

Although I am a step closer to the scene, I am still no professional or neither can I give you tips on what to wear but of course I have 3 big NOs for you guys/ladies.

1. NO SAF ARMY SHOES ( No, the excuse that you are booking out is not good enough to save your life)

I know how some woman in their defense will say that G-string or thongs are bad for hygiene purpose and if so simple, do not where such tight pants or dress and also on top of G-string there are a lot more kinda panties which does not come with this "free gift" - the VPL ! I so wish to do a campaign for either brand of panties and do this roadshow call the "NO VPL DAY". It's going to be such a hit I am telling you guys !

I am sure there are more fashion #fail such as wearing soccer jerseys to clubbing or wearing berms and slippers for a date while the girl is all dressed up but I think this list above remains the top 3 for sure. Hope you guys are not "offenders" of any of the above, else I will punish you ! (Kinky much eh ? <3 )

关云长 - more commonly known as 关羽 or 关公 has always been a symbol of loyalty. So why the confusing name between 云长 and 羽，you ask me. It works a little like your middle name if I am not wrong. One is a name people more commonly address you as and the other a name which others will call you by if they are closer to you in relationship wise.

Guan Yu has went thru too many face lift, from popular videos games such as the old school 吞食天地 to one of currents most popular franchise Dynasty warrior, animation such as gundam, popular trading card game - Magic The Gathering, Temple where people really worship him, TV dramas and even the most recent movie by Donnie Yen - The Lost Blades man.

I like how the lost bladesman is for it's story. Although it's a Donnie firm and it's probably more of it's fighting scene and all but I really like it's story. The lost bladesman is written in a different perceptive of the war. Since young, popular media which I have talked about above often feature Liu Bei as the good guy and Cao Cao is the bad guy.

To me, (I've read the novel for a few times) it's a war we are talking about and there is not good or bad. In fact, I side Cao Cao more than Liu Bei. Being in that time of violence,being ruthless and decisive is how a leader should be and not being tangled in relationships and feeling soft (no pun intended) all the time. Liu Bei on the other hand has (almost) no talent. He can't fight well in battles, he doesn't know as much as Zhuge Liang and the only thing he could do well is cry. ( not weaving of shoes like the one in the other movie). According to the novel, he cries a lot and a lot of talented warriors will follow him because of how emotional he is. They felt that Liu Bei is a person with love and feels for the people. If you ask me, those are all staged and crocodile tears. End of the day he is still in the battle field and killing people and wanting power. If he had spare a thought, he would just stop fighting. Like what they say, fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity.

So in this show, they actually show more about the "love" between Guan Yu and Cao Cao and it's a lot about how Cao Cao is as a person and how sad he is as he is always being mistaken for being the "bad" guy.

All in all, this show is rather slow pace, thus please do not be like me and watch it until 10+ 11pm and almost fall a sleep in it. It might also be a little confusing for people who has no knowledge at all about the 3 kingdoms.

Overall Score : 3/5

In case you have no idea.

- He is Lakers Star Player Kobe Bean Bryant.
- Lakers' season already ended as they got knock out at playoff stage by the Dallas Mavericks
- They lost the best of 7 in ugly fashion 4 - 0
- When you lose a series of 7 with 0 win, that is call a sweep.
- And when it's a sweep, a broom is involve.
- Thus, Got Broom? - YES they have one.

So after this humiliating lost, many article spawn online and even from Lakers Legend - Magic Johnson. Should Lakers go into rebuild? Who should they trade off? Who should they keep? And when this kinda article comes on, there are bound to have articles which compares the current player and pointing finger on who are those who should leave. I just felt that the team was a little distracted as a whole. Odom having his own TV show, Artest was trying to sell his ring(talking about ring, did Morrison collected his ring yet?), Bryant has too much injuries from fingers all the way to ankle and god knows what the rest are doing.

Bynum was playing at a very good level through out the season, the killer Bs (Brown, Barnes, Blake) done their part as well which is why they are known as the killer bees but that was during the regular season. The bees and Gasol seems to just lost it once they hit the post season.

I still think that they need to give them certain credit and not just wipe the team out simply because of a sweep. I know that a sweep is disgraceful and I do not like it either. I think doing immediate movement is not a choice but then again it wouldn't be any bad to have any movement isn't it? In any case what if we really need some movement ?

Let's look at the team now.

- Bynum , Gasol , Odom

- Artest, Barnes,

- Brown, Blake, Fisher, Bryant

- Walton, Smith, Caracter , Johnson, Ratliff

I have not much information on the reserve guys as I do not have any access to their training or games. As for the starter and main bench it might be good to move some guys around.

For the big, I might let Bynum go and keep Gasol and Odom. Gasol might performed badly for the post season but I think he just need a little rest and do not forget that he is the "right hand man" of Bryant which made the back to back happened. And Bynum's health is still debatable from time to time.

Although I am never a fan of Artest, I might keep him around for now as the Lakers need his D around (still).

The guys at the back court need to shake things up a lil frankly. No doubt fisher provide good locker room asst and able to make some big shots from time to time but these days, boys at the PG like Rondo, Rose, CP3, D.William are just a little too physical for him. Brown might be a good to keep player but I would rather see him as well playing more minutes.

It will be good news if the Lakers can get either Howard or CP3 and it will be sick if we are getting both. I think it's important to bring in at least another franchise player so when Bryant is calling it a day we will still have a good player sticking around.

So many "what if" and I just hope that we all these what ifs can be cleared up. Can't wait for next season already.

I have nothing to say. Seriously nothing to say. I can see what is the issue with them on the court coming short in defense against the Mavericks but what is exactly wrong with them ? They were playing well after the All Star break, lost their home game against the hornet but this is suppose to the Zen Master's legendary 3peat and Kobe's 6th ring to match Jordan's and maybe 1 of the greatest rivalry of all time where Kobe gets to meet shag (Shaq) at the finals to face it off one last time but now? All is nothing but a stack of useless script in my head.

I understand that every team's have almost "equal" chance of winning a game but losing 4 and getting sweep at a conference semi finals is simply ridiculous. Artest getting suspended for game 3, Odom and Bynum getting ejected at the last game. Joke, this is a big fat joke.

Playoffs just seems to lost all it's meaning all out of a sudden. As for now, let's BEAT THE HEAT !!

Foreplay : It's a day after elections and I didn't wish to blog about it regardless of how I am into my local political scene as it really plays a very big part of my life and decision making. For a very simple reason simply because there are too much to say and politics to be are basically perpective. No right and wrong, just the right time and right move. Anyway I am saying that the results are pretty much expected although not what I am hoping for. And I just wish to say again that the GRC system suck balls.

Anyway, I just came back from a little event which was organize by an energetic blogger - Mint. I met her recently at another event and we hit it off really well I must say. I am not going to blog about this event (yet) but I am actually in the mood to talk about something I brought back with me after this light hearted and entertaining trip. I am actually pretty tired and shag out but I just wish to get this out of my head. ( like any of my other blogpost, to get concept out of my head)

We all know the saying which goes " curiosity killed the cat" but I am sure that most people look at this from a perspective that the cat got itself killed because of it's own curiosity but I look at it another way. The cat got killed simply because of another person's curiosity.

Lost yet? Do not be. I am saying that humans as the domination species on earth might have "beautified" the place or even make the place a little better with it's technology and intelligence (mainly for the humans) but in order to "study" and satisfied one's curiosity, theres always a price to pay. And apparently the one paying it is mother nature and the other species.

This enjoyable and light hearted trip sent me a big and heavy message. Humans are dominating and simply bullying nature in any possible ways. I have observed so much just in a short little trip. Crocodiles being caught up in cages as tourist attraction and we(humans) gets to decide who lives and who to be sold off as leather goods or food. Even those lying "peacefully" in the "pond" are being awaken up tourist with rods just to take "spectacular" looking pictures when they splash water and open their jaw wide. Sparrow sleeping peacefully under a bridge being awaken up our super strong headlight just because we are curious to know how the nest looks like. Fire Flies being caught to examine how they actually look and even nature habitat being disturbed by loud talking and strong torch lights and camera flash.

What/who gave us the right to be disturbing the nature? Just simply because we are the dominating species? How does it feel if a giant fire fly decide to knock on my door while I am sleeping at night with a big torch light and maybe a few other homies to wake me up from my sleep? I don't think I like it and I am sure neither do you.

No, I am not even arguing and say that I will go vegan after this trip just because I am starting to "feel for nature". We destroy nature habitat to build our horses or other important buildings, eat poultry for survival, that I can accept cause it's for survival but what about disturbing the nature and "bullying" other species just for "fun", satisfying our "curiosity" or even just to take some picture as memories ? I am no saint and I do not do the right things all the time and in fact I have made too many mistakes.(And every mistake is a lesson learnt - no regrets.) Although I might not be the biggest fan of mother nature but these messages sure hit me hard and hit me fast during the trip. Why are we humans so self centered and it's always about what we want and what we wish to do and never about others ?

I lost it... I must apologize for what I did which was totally uncalled for. I am sorry that's for sure.

I think this applies to not just us and mother nature but us and us. This world would be so much better if every other individual spare a thought for everyone else.

Making Home Video

I have alway been into home videos and firm making. ( Not porn, or I mean not JUST porn.) And this time round I manage to get free actress and free video man. So we spent the good 1st May doing video !

Act Only Lah !

This video is actually for my little niece Natacia and her upcoming Cold Storage Run. The video is suppose to feature her training sessions and of course getting "likes" and viewership on youtube itself. Thus we came out with a simple story board for her.

It's no joke doing video with kids as they have very short attention span and they would want to rest, water, pee, break and do things she like to do which is not required for the video. No doubt with these challenges, the team (Sianrong, Me, My Bro(her dad) and Ah Dum) manage to enjoy the whole process too. We were also caught in a little dizzily but that didn't stop us in making the firm.

So I would really appreciate if you guys would appreciate little Nat Nat's effort and watch the video and like it if you really do. If you do not, please do feedback on how we could have done better. Sorry about the music but as we do not wish to get compass on our back we have to use the instrumental version. Anyway here's the video ! Enjoy !
